Forgiveness is a Testament to Our Ability to Look Beyond Ourselves

How can I make you see that holding grudges and constantly being mad at someone or something is without a doubt the greatest obstacle in your pursuit of happiness?
"Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, 'Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?'
Jesus answered, 'I tell you, not seven times, but seven times seventy.'" (Matthew 18:21-22)
I care for you and I promise that you are not supposed to live your life in anger. Laugh when something's funny, smile when something's beautiful, accept when something's unexpected.

For It Is In Giving That We Recieve

"People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway.
If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway.
For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway."
— Mother Teresa
Searching will lead to finding - How certain is the life of a saint so beautifully laid out in the words of Mother Teresa. This is how we are called to live. Called to love and serve. Created to love and to be loved. I think a lot about how to live without negativity and judgement, but let me be the first to admit that most of the time my failures end up defining me in a very real way. I will fall, continuously, but I make my promise as to get up with a smile knowing I have been made stronger.

Take Care of the Little Things and The Big Things Will Take Care of Themselves

Lately it feels like every conversation I have now seems to always end up being about the future. What it holds, who we'll be, who we'll know; we're doing what we can now to promise that future. . .or hinder it. We're faced with a minimal amount of certainty and knowledge of how everything will play out.

The guarded side of reality isn't quite so guarded anymore.

Hold on to your hopes and dreams, they parallel the the desires of your heart and are the motivation to finish these last two yersr that base the studies for the rest of your life.

And while the future is not garanteed, it is ours to dream of and make our own in the direction that we are called because we are going to spend the rest of our lives there. I firmly believe that we are not meant to see it because it is up to us to ensure that we are strong enough to enable it.

Hold Strong, There is a plan.

It's I Got Your Number, I Got Your Back When Your Back's Against the Wall

Maybe I'm not in the best position to say this, but I'm proud to be a Cardinal, city champs or not, I was there to support and what a ride!! Forgetting the shoulda, coulda, woulda's--proud of the fair play, the traditions and even the cheerleaders I guess.
=)

And now I'll start on my own ride as another kind of Cardinal..6 months of basketball. It's more than a sport..it's an honour, a team, life-long friends, inside jokes.

Your Chances of Scoring Go Way Up if You Hit the Net

Here's what I love about going to watch my brothers hockey games (yes, besides scoping the stands for good-looking older brothers...=P)  It's when parents yell out some call that they think is completely BLATANTLY obvious and the ref is RIDICULOUS not to call it..for example: "OFFFFSIIIIDEEEE REF!!!!!!!!" ....thennn after what they have just yelled out is not called by the ref, they then feel the need to justify to the rest of the parents on the bench why they were right in yellling out what they did and how CLEARLY it was offside.
I just laugh...I think it's HILARIOUS! Happens allll the time!!!
Good game little brother..4 straight wins is pretty impressive=)

Of All the Years We Stood On the Sidelines, Waiting for Right Now

I know it's worse than you thought it would be. The grass in this case was ANYTHING but greener on the other side. I hope with all my heart that you find the happiness you deserve. You are a beautiful creation who deserves all the love your perfect God can give. Have a little more faith and you'll see that the stars shine for you.

Your joy seemlessly masks your pain.
"Fake it til you make it"...I'm there too in that place, thinking when does my smile become genuine because for right now it feels so forced and fake, but I also believe I can get there.."at first I had to pretend I was strong, but after a while I just became strong."
‎"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you
go.” - Joshua 1:9

"There is no cosmetic for beauty like happiness"

Katy McAllister - Here's to the Heartbreakers

Here's to the Heartbreakers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCPY21oLE-4&feature=iv&annotation_id=annotation_405079
"This is the story of a girl
Who builds her own thoughts.
She has the faith that he'll be more,
Than what she only thinks she wants.
She's seen the bitter truth, but when
Someone is looking right at you.
It's hard to see through the lying eyes,
When you're mesmerized, yeah I'm mesmerized."

Shine Unto Tomorrow, Let it Be

I can see the hurt every single day and the negativity that captures victims daily. And I always think, what happened in their lives to make them so angry and irrational. The girls crying in the bathroom because they are stronger than they should ever have to be for far too long.
But then, I see absolute joy and beauty and wonder and a smile on someones face who has no reason in the world to be smiling and laughing. I think those that smile when they're surrounded by complete darkness should be honoured for their strength, because there is beauty in the breakdown.
Everytime you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.  ~Mother Teresa

Let's work it out, let today be something more. And search for the answers to the incomprehensible of this world.

Smile ...It makes people wonder. =)

You Will Never Ever Change; Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow

I come back to read and re-read who I've been, who I am and who I hope to be.

Bridges that have been broken, are beginning to be rebuilt, sllllooowwwlllyy. It's not an easy, nor significant process to anyone but myself. After months of being surrounded by people who seem to know exactly who they are at every exact second, reality has begun to suface again, No one has the capacity to know what every fiber of themselves represent, establish and moderate. After just simply being, it's a good feeling to know community.

So again, society presents it's self like it does every day with unspoken rules. No, I will not be told how to look, dress, smell and even think. Yes, it surrounds us and in a big way is part of who we are. My question is how or even why should anyone believe they are beautiful ever again? This is the horrific outcome of these rules. We've been fed all our lives with lies. You're not good enough, I'm not good enough, we're not good enough.
It's probably time someone told you that you are beautiful. Trends and people and you can all change, but there's one Truth that will never change. And it is promised that we're beautiful and loved unconditionally whether we believe it or not.

If you want to argue that perfect exsists, define it. . .

Dear Evangeline,

You've worked so hard to create this image. And for what?

Do you feel like you have to change and fade away from the little girl you are?

Do you remember the freedom under your mask or has it been too long? There's freedom in the safe shelter of your heart. Have you forgotten that healing your broken heart is easier than mending broken glass?
Don't be afraid of who you think you're not, be aware of who you are. Forget what you can't be and focus on who you can be.
No more faking. We bring who we are and your well-practiced eyeroll screams to be loved. Evangeline, you are loved.

Smile a little brighter and forgive all those lies. Don't be afraid to fall sometimes. I knew you were never one to be forgotten within hair and makeup and clothes, so now I think it's time for you to take the harder path, but I guess that means riding on courage.

Love Always,
Robyn

Take My Heart, But Please Don't Break It

We are all made to see the world through different eyes and in different ways. Interpreting things through writing filled with analogies and metaphors; through artistic drawing, painting and sculpture. Seeing through eyes of photography, song and simply critical thinking.
We have been allowed the desire and the will to fight a never-ending battle with courage based on how we interpret the world.
We have been taught over and over again that unless we conquer our insecurities first, they will conquer us. Even though it might not be our first thought, this, somehow and someway is our fight to win.

But, tug-of-war doesn't work with only one team, nor do you get stronger by being pulled by the other team. You have to pull, and pull through. And reality hits like an invasion to our pretty, little, content selves.
We are told to hope, like how fairytales exsist without flaw. But then we are promised that all fairytales will end happily ever after...life may never know a happy ending like that, like the big picture, given to us in a beautiful glass frame, but when it somehow cracks, our picture-perfect memories are scattered all around the floor and we become vulnerable to anything anyone wants us to say or become. It's like when I made the basketball team. Anyone could have told me absolutely anything about the game and probably would have believed them, because everything was unknown to me.

You define yourself be who you are.
